Vrijescholieren, peuter- en kleuterleidsters en onderbouwleraren wereldwijd kunnen elkaar deze lente ontmoeten in het Goetheanum. Hieronder de uitnodiging die alle vrijescholen ontvingen voor de internationale jeugdconferentie ‘What connects us?’ van 12-16 april, elders die voor de anderen.
Maar eerst nog even het volgende.
Velen in de vrijeschoolbeweging zijn op de een of andere manier internationaal betrokken. Maar deze betrokkenheid is meestal niet ingebed in schooldoelen. In december heeft de ledenvergadering van de Vereniging van vrijescholen zich geschaard achter het bestuursvoorstel om (nationale en) internationale ambities te formuleren en met elkaar af te stemmen, waarbij het persoonlijk enthousiasme van individuen behouden blijft. Daarbij kan onder Verenigingsvlag een netwerk ontstaan van betrokken mensen uit scholen en andere organisaties waarin kennis en ambities kunnen worden gedeeld. Als trekker van de uitvoering is Frans Epskamp benoemd.
What connects us?
All classes from 10 – 13 are are warmly invited to the international Waldorf students’ meeting at the Goetheanum from the 12th-16th April. You can read about it here: . In these five days we will ask ourselves the question ‘what connects us?’.
We hope that each of you will be able to define the question for yourself. Who does this question apply to? Who is connected to whom? Aren’t we all connected? Does the question apply to Waldorf students worldwide or to all people our age? Do you feel connected when you come together with people from different cultures? What is connection at all? We all experience so many different things as we grow up, things that make us who we are; we all have dreams, we all have hopes for the future. Let us talk about these things and let others be part of what inspires you. Let us paint a living picture for the future together and let’s get connected!
We invite you to come together to ask and answer questions about connection with people you have never met before in a place that every Waldorf student is somehow connected to. Groups of students, whole classes or even single students from the 10th grade upwards are warmly invited.

Spoken languages at the meeting will be English and German. As we have a great variety of speakers as well as different spoken languages, the speeches and presentation will be translated if necessary.
The students will sleep in group dormitories. There will only be mattresses, so please bring sheets and sleeping bags.
